Never met a quilter I didn't like.
I can honestly say that I’ve never met a quilter I didn’t like. As a whole, you will never meet a nicer group of people. Today I spoke to a lady from Round Rock, who’s only been quilting for a short time but what love she has for the craft. I guess you could say that about any of us. I mean this is a quilting blog. But seriously, quilting is something that touches people at their core. For me, when I create a quilt it’s almost like having a child. I start off with an idea of what I think it’s going to look like. Then as it develops it takes on a life of its own. It gets influenced by the people I meet during its development and before you know it. It is all finished and ready to leave the nest. Then sometimes (only sometimes) I turn all crazy mother-in-law; should I give this person my quilt? Are they going to love and take care of it the way it should be cared for? Then I realize, this is a business and I’m crazy. So, I call my customer or give the quilt as a gift. Maybe this was a little too much information, a little too early in this blog. However, quilters also have a great sense of humor. – Piece out!

Vintage Quilt
Bring me your Granny's unfinished quilt top and I will give you back a beautifully quilted heirloom quilt.
Memory Quilt
I made this quilt for little Miss Amanda Beeler. I babysit her & she is the sweetest little girl. The bee square is actually her foot print. They only stay small for a short period of time.
Western Quilt
Thanks to Mary Ann Zurek for allowing me to quilt her grandson's beautiful western quilt.
Vista Ridge High School / Texas Tech
Just finished with another t-shirt quilt for Debra Foster's daughter. Have fun at Texas Tech this year!
Don't wait until the last minute to order inventory.
About 2 months ago I went to place and order for my favorite Polyester monofilament invisible thread with my supplier. Day after day their website continued to say, "OUT OF STOCK." Finally I decide this is for the birds so I called them up. I asked the girl if she could tell me when they would get their invisible thread back in stock. She dodged this way. I dodged that way. Finally I got her pinned down only to find out; they weren't out of stock. They were out of a manufactor. Huge difference!! Since then I've tested several different monofilament threads and I haven’t loved any of them. I am back to using my usual So Fine on all my t-shirt quilts. The moral of this story is: "Don't get all your thread from one basket because your basket might just get a whole in it."
